Junior Session 13th May

With great:

- Weather - Golf - Company - Attitude - Skills

It was an impressive day on many levels, good fun and enjoyed by all.

After a warm up, coaching, basic etiquette and competitive practise on the range, chipping contest, won by The Bandits, then the white flag challenge, won by The Players - honours were even!I

A long drive contest produced some amazing ability and was finally won by Sam "Boomer" Read with Peter "Peeet" Black in 2nd place, who showed great consistency with two out of three drives in 'the grid'.

The 6 hole comp was closely contested and resulted in a further 6 holes being played as the sun was shining and it was too good an opportunity to miss with the competitors all fired up to improve on their score. After a handicap adjustment, Sam "Boomer" Read excelled with a run of birdies and eagles (!) in a closely contested battle with the consistent Peter "Peeet" Black, just pipped at the post.

Overall 6 hole course result:

1st Sam Read 2nd Peter Black

After an almost impossible decision, as everyone gave of their all, the prize for the most improved went to James Melvin.

Well done to all who participated and keep checking theagacademy.co.uk website "Junior Tab" for further events.

Thanks to Sammy Jaafari, our coach on the day.

Chris
